Family to Family Connection is a state-wide, free resource program for all parents of children from birth to 48 months.  Services include hospital visits, classes and workshops at the New Baby Center, and a Resource Lending Center with books, videos, and educational materials.  The Henderson location also has a Bright Beginnings collection of baby-friendly books and parenting information.  There are other Family to Family Connection locations throughout southern Nevada.  Call, Email, or go to their website for their calendar or more information.

APPLE PartnershipAPPLE Partnership
In early 2004, alarmed about startling statistics about childhood literacy, the Mayor and Council of the City of Henderson pledged community support to help educators and families help children learn to read. Soon thereafter, a group of parents, teachers, principals and city representatives met and created what has become known ast the APPLE (All People Promoting Literacy Efforts) Partnership.
