There are several opportunities to support Henderson Libraries. We are very appreciative of the assistance that we receive from our residents. You may assist us through the following means:
Donate Books:
Do you have books, videos, compact discs, or tapes that you wish to donate to our library district? The staff appreciates you interst in helping to stretch our budget dollars and add to your community's resources. Here are some guidelines to help you when donating.
Friends of Henderson Libraries:
Friends of the Henderson Libraries is a non-profit organization that assists the library with enhancing our collection, special projects and programs. Funds raised by the Friends directly benefit Henderson's four libraries, bookmobile and other outreach services. Your membership to Friends admits you to early entry at Friends Book Sales.

The Library Fund:
The Library Fund of Henderson Community Foundation supports Henderson Libraries in a variety of ways. The Fund may be used to support Opening Day Collection development for new libraries or for special collections in exsisting facilities. Secondly, the Fund will support reading initiatives, struggling reader programs, basic literacy and English as a Second Language (ESL) efforts throughout Henderson. Finally, the Fund may act as a catalyst for a capital campaign to build more library locations in Henderson.
You may make a direct donation to this 501(c)3 Fund online through PayPal or to

The Library Boutique:
We are strongly committed to books and reading. We see the value in book ownership and encourage book ownership by individuals and families. While the library's main focus remains book borrowing and free access to information, we want to serve our patrons better. By adding book buying capability to our site, we are giving you the choice of how you access the information you need. Proceeds from the materials you buy at our Library Boutique goes directly to the library materials budget so that additional material can be purchased for all of our residents to access.
Volunteering:
Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community and we need your help. With the anticipated openings of the Green Valley Library in 2009, our two satellite libraries in the Galleria Mall and the new Henderson Senior Center as well as our relocation of our Gibson Library, we are busier than ever and would welcome as much assistance as you can give.
