Third Annual Read & Run For Your Health 5K & 1 Mile Walk

What:
The Henderson Libraries and Las Vegas Running Team are proud to present the Third Annual Read & Run For Your Health 5K & 1 Mile Walk! Proceeds from this event will again be used to purchase health related materials that will be made available for checkout. In addition, some of the money will fund free consumer health programs open to all.

When:
SATURDAY FEBRUARY 27TH, 2010 @ 7am

Where:
Race starts and ends at the James I. Gibson Library. Course loops through the City of Henderson Water Street District area. Click here for a Course Map.

What Do I Get?
In addition to supporting the Henderson Libraries and being active, all participants will receive a race t-shirt, goodie bag, and an official time. Awards will be given to the 5K top 3 overall male & female winners as well as the top 3 male & female in each age division. We will also have refreshments available for participants and spectators. Finally, all participants will be entered into our post race prize drawing with numerous prizes up for grab!

Is This Event Walker Friendly?
Yes! It is also stroller friendly as well. Numerous folks do walk the 5K!

What Does It Cost?
Only $25 for either the 5K or 1 Mile Walk if you register by February 19th, 2010! Race fees increase on February 20th so register early!

-Register in person at any Henderson Library

Where is Packet Pickup?
Packet pick-up will be at the Gibson Library on Friday February 26th, 2010 from 10am - 4:30pm. You can also pick up your packet on race morning.

Race day parking:
There is public parking in the City of Henderson and Eldorado Casino parking garages. Parking is also available at the Henderson Convention Center and Corely Center (corner of Water & Basic). There is also street parking along Basic and Ocean avenues. Finally, there is limited parking in the Gibson library parking lot and City of Henderson visitor parking lot as well.
