Database Instructions
Searching Online Databases from Home
(These include magazine, encyclopedia, newspaper articles and much more)
- On the left hand side of the page, move your mouse over the phrase "Research"
- Click the appropriate subject heading that appears on the right (i.e. encyclopedias, newspapers, etc.)
- Next click the database you wish to search (or move your mouse over the phrase "Research" to select a different subject heading)
- Enter your 14 digit library card and click "Authenticate"
- NOTE: Ancestry.com, NewEnglandAncestors.org and WorldVitalRecords.com are only searchable from within the library.
Seaching Learnatest from Home
- On the left hand side of the page, move your mouse over the phrase "Research"
- Click on the link for "all databases" and then scroll down to find the link for Learnatest/Learning Express Library homepage, next click "New User"
- Enter your 14 digit library card and clickk "Authenticate"
- You know should be at the Learning Express Library homepage, next click "New User"
- Your username MUST be your entire library card number. Your password can be anything you want.
- Click "continue" until you reach the Subject page where you can choose your test.
