Teen Talent Show
Music! Dance! Drama! Comedy!This year there will be two Teen Talent Shows. One for High School and one for Middle School students. (ages 12-18)
Performance dates are:
- High School, February 11, 2008 @ 7:00
- Middle School, February 12, 2008 @ 7:00
Both performances will be held in the Reading Room at Paseo Verde Library, 280 S. Green Valley Parkway in Henderson.
Participants must audition at one of the following times:
- Saturday, January 26, 12:00-4:00, Paseo Verde Library
- Sunday, January 27, 1:00-3:00, Malcolm Library
- Monday, January 28, 6:30-8:30, Gibson Library
You do not need to sign up for auditions. Auditions are open – you may watch other contestants.
If a CD is used for accompaniment, it must be a karaoke track with no lead singer on the recording.
The same act must be performed at both the audition and the performance.
Acts with inappropriate language, actions or clothing will not be selected for the performance.
Acts must not be longer than 3 ½ minutes (they can be shorter).
Henderson Libraries will provide the sound system, including a CD player. Other instruments, including a keyboard, will need to be provided by you.
Contestants will be notified by Feb. 1, 2008 whether or not they will be performing in the talent show.
Prizes will be awarded separately for High School and Middle School performances. Prizes are gift certificates to Galleria Mall in the following amounts:
- 1st Prize: $100.
- 2nd Prize: $75.
- 3rd Prize: $50.
Contestants are not eligible to win first place two years in a row.
The judges’ decision will be final.
The performances will be recorded and made available for purchase ($10.) and can be accessed from Henderson Libraries’ website ) with a library card.
